Movie Night..Everyone Welcome

MOVIE NIGHT

Date: Friday, March 22, 2013
Place: Muller Windsports Shop at the Cochrane Flying Site
Time: 7:00pm
No charge

We have some new hang glider and paraglider movies and have planned a movie night during our annual Instructors Course.

A highlight for hang glider pilots is the newly released "Live the Dream", the story of a young girl starting hang gliding first by aero towing and then learning to foot launch.  A different way to learn to hang gliding and very entertaining.

We also have the history of hang gliding in Western Canada, a Heritage Project by John Janssen's daughter Nikky.  She did a great job and it's fun to watch.

Keith has assembled new paragliding movies that we will also show.  There will be something for everyone.

We are hoping for a good social evening and the chance to meet some of the new pilots who have moved into the Calgary area.  We are hoping for no snow that weekend!

Great Night

Twas a Great evening for all last night. Rick and I managed to Thermal out at 3:30 to close to the limit of 2000 feet and after that it got very soarable for a couple hours. The students arrived and managed to groundhandle then most got 5 flights each. After the students took a break so the Instructors could go soaring again in the SSE winds. So basically a perfect evening to keep everyone happy and learning. Hopefully the weekend allows for some soaring and more teaching. Keith
